We appoint editors on the basis of subject expertise and publication record, with deliberate attention to breadth of region and discipline.
Board members assess manuscripts within their expertise, select and invite reviewers, and advise the editor-in-chief on scope and policy. The role is honorary. Appointments are normally for a fixed term and are reviewed before renewal.
