We are a small publisher, and we treat that as a strength rather than something to disguise.
Running a small list means every manuscript gets genuine editorial attention rather than being processed in bulk.
All our journals publish with gold open access. Authors retain copyright, and anyone with an internet connection can read the full text.
Fewer journals and fewer submissions means we need fewer resources, which lets us keep article processing charges modest.
Articles are published as soon as they are accepted and ready, and are added to the issue in progress rather than waiting for it to close.
When appointing editors and reviewers we pay deliberate attention to geographic and disciplinary breadth.
Our titles span medicine, microbiology and the health sciences, alongside management and the social sciences.
RES Research Solutions and Publishers (Private) Limited is a privately held company registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. It is not owned by, and has no financial relationship with, any society, institution or funder whose work it publishes.
Our income comes from two sources, and we state both openly: article processing charges paid on accepted articles, and fees for the author and publishing services described on this site. We receive no advertising revenue and we publish no sponsored content.
In a publisher of this size, the same people sometimes appear in more than one role — for example, someone involved in running the company may also sit on a journal’s editorial board. We do not think that is a problem in itself, provided it is declared and managed, and we handle it as follows.

Our editors are qualified researchers and subject specialists with experience in scholarly publishing, working across medicine, microbiology and the social sciences. Each journal's editorial board, with affiliations, is listed on that journal's own site.
The editorial team is responsible for assessing scope and originality, selecting reviewers, and reaching decisions on the basis of the reviews received. Editors act independently of the publisher's commercial interests, and a member of the editorial team who has a conflict of interest in a submission takes no part in handling it.
